Give us a model boat you no longer sail. We keep it rigged and young sailors get first use of it. That is most of what this page says.
MudRatz are part of this
MudRatz run volunteer youth sailing in Stonington, since 2013, and are a 501(c)(3). Almost every boat their kids race was given to them.
MudRatz sailors 23 and under sail with us free. A gift to MudRatz can be tagged for kids racing model boats with us, and it is tax deductible because MudRatz is the charity. Club dues are not.
A boat
A DragonFlite, an International One Metre, an old Marblehead in a box of parts. If it floats and it is radio controlled, tell us about it.
We maintain it, keep it rigged, and young sailors get first dibs every race day. In a garage it is worth almost nothing. Here it is a season for a kid who was never going to buy one.
Full sized boats too. That is how MudRatz built their fleet, and they will tell you honestly whether yours fits.
