Two one design classes carry most of our racing. Both arrive nearly finished, both fit in a back seat, and both are cheap enough that nobody minds lending you one for an afternoon.

The boat most people start with. It arrives nearly finished, it fits in a back seat, and a full rig costs less than a set of golf clubs.

Before you buy anything
Come to a race day first. Every class has a fleet here, and honest advice from someone who already owns one is worth more than any review you will read. A member will usually put a spare boat in your hands the first morning you show up.
When you are ready, ask in the Facebook group. Used boats change hands inside the club more often than you would expect, and a second hand hull with a good rig beats a new one with a bad one.
